Who am I?

​

I am a creative and art director with a love of creating storytelling visuals; exploring the synergy between image and typography, and how this successfully builds brands and campaigns. Whether this is crafting a stills and video shoot, art directing and designing a magazine, or getting under the skin of a brand identity, I bring passion, experience and personality to every project I work on.

 

I learnt my art direction and design craft in publishing, and adapted and honed these skills in creative agencies. I love the attention to detail of print and the endless possibilities of social and digital. I’ve been fortunate enough to have been immersed in both industries.  

 

In a nutshell, I’ve art directed iconic magazines such as GQ, NME and Wired; concepting, designing, commissioning, illustrating, attending photo shoots and overseeing right through to the printed product. I’ve also art directed global advertising campaigns for brands such as adidas, Coca Cola,
Dr Martens, YouTube, Stella Artois and Audi; defining the look and feel, crafting and art directing shoots, overseeing design and post-production through to delivery.

 

I also love to mentor and use my experience to help others and embrace the two-way communication of mentoring through organisations such as D&AD, Creative Equals and Accumulate. 

 

I believe in the power of personal work, and continuously challenge myself to produce self-initiated projects, going both solo and also in collaboration with others. I feel this is an essential tool in allowing experimentation, creativity and freedom, into your work, which can also influence client work in turn.
